Get the Look: Summer Hues for Every Room

By Grace | Jun 27 2013

This is the season we love to embrace color in every way shape and form. From cooking with seasonal fruits, to adding bright accessories to our closets and home now is the time to experiment and find your inner color maven. Living in the world of interior design we have found some are wary of introducing color – so I asked our design director for a few pointers.

First and foremost – have fun with it! - Decorating with color is a great way to find your personal style.

Choose a palette - Mixing patterns and textures is much easier to do if you have already decided on a palette or story. Azure, Kelly Green and Citrine are chic hues to start with - summery, yet sophisticated.

Clockwise from top - Palazzo Kelly, Scala Kelly, Kyoto Trellis Tangerine, Kimono, Scala Aqua, Printed Trellis

Layer - Whether you are choosing one color-way or a variety of hues, select a few patterns and textures within each palette. If mixing colors get matching patterns, or textures to unify the look.
