We hope everyone is safe and sound post-Sandy! Here in New York we're slowly recovering. The power is completely out below 39th street and our subway system is down. Our Flagship store is currently closed; however you can always browse our online shop! Do you follow Christiane on Instagram? It's been so interesting to see her snaps from SoHo. We would love to share a few of her images with you... Have you been watching the Olympics? I'm checking-in live from London with a roundup of my instagram snaps from my trip to the summer games! The energy over here is absolutely palpable. It's quite a treat to see world-class athletes battle it out for those coveted gold metals! Other than taking in as much of the London art scene as possible, some of my sporting highlights include Women's Mountain Biking, Table Tennis and Soccer. What's your favorite event?

We LOVE these pomelo-scented candles (designed exclusively for the DwellStudio Flagship store). It's the perfect summer scent—so crisp! The pomelo is a beautiful green citrus fruit found in Southern Asia. Christiane actually hand-picked the scent because it reminds her of her trip to Bangkok earlier this year.

We’re excited that our very first brick-and-mortar shop is set to open this June on lovely cobblestone-lined Wooster Street. Our new retail home just happens to be nestled in SoHo among a slew of galleries, cafes, fashion outposts and of course the impossibly cool people who inhabit this art-centric neighborhood. To introduce you to our nabe, we’ve drawn up a mini-guide with a few of our favorite places to eat, drink, browse and get inspired. Stay tuned as we update you with more locales we love in the coming weeks! Enjoy!

If you’re into abstract sculpture, video installation and mixed media presentation, Team Gallery is for you. We’re always impressed with this gallery’s range of madcap offerings, and we love garnering a sense of who’s who in the ever-changing world of up-and-coming avant-garde artists.

Ground Support

We’re always on-the-go here at DwellStudio and for those many trips back and forth between the studio on 6th avenue and our flagship store on Wooster, Ground Support has become our coffee standard. The staff always greets us with a smile and a steaming cup of Intelligentsia drip. Plus we think it’s a pretty good sign when you can cull outfit inspiration from your baristas.

When we need a break from staring at computer screens and falling down the rabbit hole of Pinterest browsing, the Phaidon bookstore provides a welcome escape. The white washed walls and exquisitely produced hardcover art books restore our faith in the potential of print publishing’s staying power.

Some days it’s necessary to unwind from a long day with a fancy little martini glass in hand, and The Dutch has become a go-to for many of the DwellStudio designers. With an open and airy interior, grand French windows and beautifully styled food presentations, we feel right at home here.
