We are hitting the road again - this time we're heading to Philadelphia for the Grand Opening Party for our furniture collection at Dane Decor tomorrow night! There will be wine and cheese and we're giving away signed copies of Undecorate, which is actually sold-out nation wide! Hope you can make it!

I was fortunate enough to be able to photograph Stephanie Lockeman's apartment in Bertrand Goldberg’s dramatic sculptural “Corn Cob” towers in Chicago’s iconic Marina City (1959-1967) for my book Undecorate. Now through January 15th, The Art Institute of Chicago is celebrating Goldberg’s dramatic sculptural forms and innovative engineering that have long been recognized as seminal contributions to the built environment of Chicago. The exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of the architect’s work. For those who can’t make it to Chicago – here is an exclusive glimpse into these amazing spaces that have not been touched since the building was first built.  Don't you think the tonal brown tiles in the bathroom are still relevant and amazingly chic still?  Great design is timeless. My good friend Val is a true undecorator - always updating and changing her space. Her master bedroom now is completely different than it was when we shot it for the book! Her latest addition? A great Flower Ball Chandelier.

Val did a great round up of this type of chandelier on her blog, take a look>!

After spending the morning researching and then singing the Spongebob theme song with my kids...we all decided that we too wanted to live in a pineapple under the sea.  Here is a very chic version of sea themed interior and a little undecorate inspiration for you this morning.

This Long Island fisherman's shanty turned summer home is fishy, gorgeous and very fun...a fitting end to this amazing summer.

When I think back to our shoot with Chase and Gray in Copake Lake, I think of summer entertaining at its best. Our crew showed up in the early evening after shooting all day at Kenyan and Grace's and we were thrilled to see the lake. We had a mind to capture the beautiful sunset with Chase paddle boarding up to the dock...

We can't believe how fast summer is going by! Have you had time to hang out in the garden or on the porch? Hope so! BBQs and outdoor parties are one of our very favorite things to enjoy in the summer. And, as it turns out, most of the people featured in Undecorate are big fans of the outdoors as well. Here are a few shots from our Undecorate archives of the look at work outside...Happy summer!
