We love how decorator Belinda Mitchell used our signature fabrics to add elegant designer details to this young couple's chic bedroom. The mix of smoky hues, rich velvety textures and deep navy blues feels so romantic and intimate, don't you think? The boudoir chair is customized with our super soft Gate fabric in charcoal. On the bed the designer paired our Vintage Blossom pillows with custom designed Gate pillows. Plus we adore the quirky twist on that porcelain horse lamp with our Vintage Blossom fabric on the lamp shade. This bedroom is a beautiful example of mixing and matching classic design elements with modern twists!

We LOVE How You Dwell!

Last week Christiane visited the Robert Allen Design showroom in Toronto to speak to interior designers about how she uses social media. Here's a peek at some of the photos from the event...

P.S. Check out our Toronto City Guide to see some of our favorite places!

Yesterday we trekked uptown to the gorgeous Robert Allen studio to give some of our favorite bloggers a behind the scenes at our newest Robert Allen collaboration—the Modern Color Theory collection (debuting soon!). Christiane presented her inspirations for the collection: rooted in art history, the line culls its bold motifs and emotionality from French masters like Henri Matisse and Fernand Léger.

During the presentation, Christiane divulged this year's signature DwellStudio creature—the gazelle—chosen by our design team for its chic and majestic qualities. She also touched on some of our key themes like our modern riff on a zebra stipe, elements pulled from nature, graphic botanicals and mix + match basics in glamourous metallics.

Also on hand were Robert Allen's Christy Almond, VP of Fabric Design and Hannah Alderson, Director of Fabric Design who gave the group insight into the technical design aspects of the collection. After the presentation, we hunkered down for a delicious lunch from the The City Bakery right in the Robert Allen Design studio. We had a lovely time meeting all the creative and tech-savvy bloggers and chatting about design trends over lunch!

Thank you to the awesome Robert Allen team for hosting and thank you to all the amazing bloggers... it was a great event!

Can you spot the sneak peek of one of our newest patterns from the fall collection? (answer at the bottom)

Who are some of your favorite pinners? We would love to know!

Yesterday one of our Facebook fans posted a design question on our wall - we opened it up for general discussion among our design savvy followers, and have quite a lively convo going!

Here's the question: "I bought the Big Floral Citrine rug and am looking to plan my living room around it! Which fabrics coordinate?"

And here's the rug - with some of the suggested fabrics. What would you recommend?

Have seen our new fabric collection for Robert Allen yet? We took inspiration from traditional motifs – suzanis, kubas, ikats and geometric tile work – and experimented with color and scale to rework the antique forms into textiles that feel fresh and current.

Here's a peek at the Global Modern Luxe collection - it's all available now on our site!

We worked to make the collection mix and match seamlessly, so it's easier than ever to work the chic global style into any home! Which new print do you like best?
