Christiane and her family may have retreated to Rhinebeck, NY during Sandy, but that didn't stop them from trick or treating in the beautiful town. Here are a few of her Instagram snaps from last night. We love the old house she spotted... it looks so haunted, don't you think?

An authentic haunted house in Rhinebeck.

Heading out for a Halloween stroll.

Put a bird on it... even for Halloween!

A ninja stops by the local bank... it's a suburban Halloween!

Ending the night by a cozy fire.

What did you do for Halloween? We would love to know!

Can you believe it's almost time for the little ones to head back to school? Summer is flying by! As the back-to-school race gets underway, we've been thinking about how excited we used to feel leading up to the first day of school. Does September still conjure that feeling of excitement for you? Remember how thrilling it was to have a clean notebook, shiny new kicks, fresh crayons and a cool new backpack. That feeling of a fresh start is so synonymous with the ramp up to autumn. All our StudioMoms have been lusting after our new fall kids' bedding. They say a fresh duvet set and sheets is the perfect way to get their kiddos' bedrooms ready for the new school year. We're excited to show you our new patterns, designed with the pint-sized spirit in mind. Have a look and let us know what you think!

My kids and I were very excited to be a part of the brand new web site Built By Kids - an awesome site full of fun DIY projects for kids! Our contribution was this very cool castle the kids build out of cardboard boxes and bright, colored tape.

It's a great rainy-day project (we built ours durring Hurricane Irene!) and the kids had a blast decorating and moving in to their cardboard creation.

Jack's mom - Heather - shared a photo of his work-in-progress big-boy room over on our Facebook Page, and we had to see more! We can't get over how cute this room is (OR how cute Jack is!)

Jack has our: Chocolate Dots fitted Crib Sheet, Chocolate Dots Roman Shades some Vintage DwellStudio toys, he even has a papier-mache giraffe head (it's not from us, but check ours out here>

Jack, we love how you dwell!

With summer winding down (wow, already) - we are all hitting the beach every second we get. We're lucky in NYC to have so many beautiful beaches nearby. And we're loving blue hues at the beach with a little silver for glimmer. See you in the sand...

Opening Ceremony is launching their first ever kids clothing collection this Fall...this is just a sneak peek below, but we're quite sure the line will not disappoint. All the studio moms and dads will be hovering outside OC doors (as we normally are when new things arrive there) - as the new collab with A is for Apple hits the racks.
