We love The Coveteur, and have been eagerly awaiting today’s feature. Why? Because it showcased our chic friend (and sartorial crush), June Ambrose. Known for her trend setting work in some of the most iconic music videos of the 90’s, June has an unmatched eye for color, pattern and design. Her closet is truly one-of-a-kind. We love the 70’s inspired vibe and eye for the unique yet timeless. Best of all June has a story for each coveted item and believes it's the history that makes a piece special. We couldn't agree more.

Long time DwellStudio friend Victoria of the awesome design blog SF Girl by Bay recently redecorated her modern cottage. This time she went in a cool minimalist direction with shots of crisp black and white pairings throughout. We've always loved Victoria's style - especially when she boldly painted her bedroom black. When Victoria revealed her redo on her blog, we were extra excited to see how she styled our gorgeous Chester sofa in leather. We love how she offset the masculine side of our Chester sofa with a plush white throw, sweet graphic pillows and by placing a charming photograph of garden roses above the sofa. We adore the balance of modern and retro with masculine and feminine touches throughout Victoria's home!

How You Dwell - A Dark and Moody Bedroom

We love how decorator Belinda Mitchell used our signature fabrics to add elegant designer details to this young couple's chic bedroom. The mix of smoky hues, rich velvety textures and deep navy blues feels so romantic and intimate, don't you think? The boudoir chair is customized with our super soft Gate fabric in charcoal. On the bed the designer paired our Vintage Blossom pillows with custom designed Gate pillows. Plus we adore the quirky twist on that porcelain horse lamp with our Vintage Blossom fabric on the lamp shade. This bedroom is a beautiful example of mixing and matching classic design elements with modern twists!

We're starting the New Year off with a bright and cheery How You Dwell by the lovely Lesli of My Old Country House. We spotted her cozy home over on Young House Love. We love the mix of bold prints, sun-washed hues and comfy textiles. Lesli reupholstered her boudoir chair in our rich Gate Brindle fabric and added a pop of yellow with our matching Gate Citrine fabric. Plus we adore the playful addition of our Vintage Blossom fabric in citrine. (Just put a bird on it!)

We spotted Jordan Carlyle's chic downtown apartment over on one of our favorite blogs Desire to Inspire. We love the sophisticated mix of prints, and the elegant palette of silver, brass and grey with flashes of bold color. We adore the pop of cool that our rad Snake Chain pillows and custom Snake Chain drapes add to the bedroom. We're also loving the custom drapes in the living room made with our Dotted Trellis fabric. This modern apartment proves that pattern works beautifully with calm, neutral tones.

We are loving Sarah's bright, modern and rocker-themed nursery for her little boy Bowie, spotted via Prairie Hive. We love that the design of this room began with a bold, graphic rug. Sarah then outfitted the space with nursery essentials in neutral tones. She added doses of bright colors throughout the space with strorage bins, a pattered ottoman and modern artwork. On the crib she mixed and matched the small-scale geometric of our Square Dove Grey Crib Sheets with vibrant accent pillows and adorable stuffed animals. Sarah amped up the personality of the nursery by layering in nods to rock and roll with guitars, album covers and Elvis motifs, which really gives room a jolt of cool, don't you think?

This is just to say... We LOVE How You Dwell, Sarah!

We adore our office mates and 77 Wooster architects Meyer Davis Studio. Their sleek and modern interiors can be found all over the world from Oscar de la Renta boutiques to seaside retreats. We're loving the design aesthetic on their recent project for AKA Sutton Place Hotel in New York. The combination of geometric artwork, luxe textures and modernist shapes feels current and chic with the perfect dose of refinement. Check out some of the snaps below...

Our Paule Marrot Abstract Artwork paired with classic black & white tones.

Trompe L'oeil-inspired geometrics: Our Turot Collection prints and Urchin Objet add a layer of graphic interest to basic white walls.

We're in love with Maxwell Gillingham-Ryan's yurt-dwelling featured in the New York Times Great Homes and Destinations section today. Max is the founder of one of our favorite interior design sites—Apartment Therapy, and his design approach feels so Undecorate: "More important than perfection is a home that feels expansive and approachable."

Max outfitted his vibrant oasis in East Hampton with bright colors, wooden furniture and bold patterns. The way he layered our Draper Stripe and Zig-Zag rugs in the bedroom is a perfect example of how to mix and match rich colors with prints for an effortless and comfortable style. Max, we LOVE how you dwell!

How (Would) You Dwell - Prefab Luxe

The prefab home isn't exactly synonymous with luxury, but Nexterra is changing this perception. This eco-minded real estate company is on it way to developing eco-enclaves that combine highly sustainable architecture with a cool contemporary aesthetic. Nexterra recently finished construction on its very first prefab home dubbed the LivingHome. Located in Toronto, the sleek mid-century design has a modern open-living plan, floor-to-ceiling windows and a geothermal heating and cooling system--plus it comes ready to assemble! (Check out this video of the quick construction). This all sounds very eco-chic, don't you think?

We spotted Kate and Alden's home on Design*Sponge and instantly feel in love with their nature-infused Northern California abode. This creative duo--Kate works for Chronicle Books and Anthology Magazine and Alden is a grad student at UC Berkely--layered their rooms with loads of natural elements. We love how this couple crafted an inviting vibe by bringing the outdoors inside with woodsy prints, framed maps and harvested branches. And of course we love how our Chinoiserie Duvet Set perfectly suits Kate and Alden's alfresco spirit!

The room was designed by Kim of The Tom Cat Studio who gives some amazing advice, “Incorporate personal items that you love, not everything in a nursery has to be about baby.”

We joke that my mom Ruth should be an honorary DwellStudio employee because I am always getting helpful emails on a range of topics - from store owner feedback, to pointing out our products in magazines, to stock levels at Target, or sometimes even typos on our blog (oops!).

The other day I was talking to her and she said, "I'm not cool, I don't really mix the squares with the stripes, etc. I just like it all to match." She titled this image "It all works!"

Well, we definitely agree it works and we love how you dwell, Ruth!

Ruth mixed this rug with this, this and this pillow - so cute!

We love the mix of high and low in the bedroom - Ruth chose our Hedgerow bedding (on sale now!) with this and this pillow - so cute!

One of our favorite new products at Target - sorry not online yet!

And in the bathroom, Ruth put this shower curtain with this bath mat and these towels. We love!

Ruth lives in Columbus, Ohio - her house is our unofficial Midwest headquarters. Thanks Ruth!
