Have you seen our handsome new Wyeth Chair? Modeled on classic Mid-Century design principles, our designers dialed back the proportions, amped up the angular lines and dressed Wyeth in a plush, velvety fabric for a modern appeal. This season our favorite fabric for Wyeth is the jewel-toned Bank Pool (but you can customize him to your style!). This season our design team filled their mood boards with rich, saturated hues, which really speak to fall's warm and cozy vibe, don't you think? All the sophisticated shades in our new Fall Collection feel so elegant, luxe and grown-up. We adore the idea of updating our seating style with this chic yet comfy chair. How are you updating your home this fall?

Here's a behind the scenes peek into our design team's files for our Wyeth Chair.... Let us know what you think!

P.S. Our upholstery sale is in progress! Through October 12th we're giving you 20% off all our upholstered furniture! Start designing now >

From artwork designed by LA-based artists to lighting crafted in downtown Brooklyn, we love supporting the ethos of Made in the USA! One of our favorite stateside narratives is our partnership with Precedent. This homegrown company handcrafts our entire collection of upholstered furniture in the mountains of North Carolina (we're in the Tar Heel state a lot). To get the inside scoop on this born and bred company, we went straight to the source—Meet Woody Williams, President of Precedent.

(Woody, second from right, with the DwellStudio team at our flagship store opening party.)

Tell us about your relationship with DwellStudio.

Working with DwellStudio has been absolutely amazing. It has truly been a collaborative effort that combines DwellStudio’s design talents with Precedent's ability to execute those designs in a way that makes the product incredibly comfortable and a great value.

What’s the story behind Precedent’s commitment to American-made?

We are fortunate to have an experienced group of craftsmen who are passionate about quality. We build our products right here in North Carolina. The dedication to quality just cannot be replicated in another country. We feel an obligation to our workforce to keep jobs at home. Perhaps we could save money by sending our production offshore, but it would never be worth the sacrifice in quality.

(New chairs awaiting assembly.)

Where do you source materials?

We source all of our wood products domestically, most coming from within 300 miles of our manufacturing facility. To the extent possible, we source fabrics from domestic sources as well. We find the quality and reliability of stateside textiles superior.

What are some of your favorite pieces in the DwellStudio line and why?

My favorite is the Hans Chaise, which we just introduced at the spring High Point Market. If you like the Hans Chair, you're going to love the chaise!

From the sofas in the collection, Larkin is my favorite. I love the clean lines, and it so comfortable. From the wood collection, the Gate Armoire is very elegant and very chic!

It's no secret that I adore New York—especially when the city doles out classic evenings like last night! I had the pleasure of attending opening night for the Housing Works. I loved seeing how all the amazing designers mixed high with low, vintage with modern and sophisticated with funky to craft some seriously inspiring interiors. Make sure to stop by this weekend to see all the awesomely curated vignettes and score some sweet deals for a great cause! Here's a little roundup of my Instagram snaps from the event.. Have a great weekend!
