How You Dwell - Keira

Monday, March 15, 2010 9:59:39 AM EDT

I was so thrilled when one of my Twitter friends, @ChantaleP, sent over pics from her blog of her beautiful daughter Keira lounging with her new Gio Lemon hooded towel, puchased at one of our favorite Montreal retailers, Le Baldaquin. Keira, we're glad you love the animals as much as we do and we love how you dwell!

Bed-Head?

Tuesday, March 9, 2010 2:39:36 PM EST

Jodi and Matilda sleeping in Draper Stripe sheets and Sketch duvet set.

Since Jodi handles our technical design, she is constantly problem-solving.  Lately, however, her biggest problem is how to work (sleep, eat, or do anything really) with a dog on her head. Meet Matilda, Jodi's dog.

Jodi and Matilda, we love how you dwell!

How You Dwell - David Meredith Photography

Monday, March 8, 2010 12:19:10 PM EST

In our daily blog trolling, we ran across this great post on Desire to Inspire about photographer David Meredith.  Lo and behold, we found a photo of our Chinoiserie for Anthropologie bedding in one of his photographs.  We don't know who lives in this bedroom, David, but we love how they dwell!

How You Dwell - Rachel's Mom

Friday, March 5, 2010 11:40:39 AM EST

We joke that my mom Ruth should be an honorary DwellStudio employee because I am always getting helpful emails on a range of topics - from store owner feedback, to pointing out our products in magazines, to stock levels at Target, or sometimes even typos on our blog (oops!).

The other day I was talking to her and she said, "I'm not cool, I don't really mix the squares with the stripes, etc. I just like it all to match." She titled this image "It all works!"

Well, we definitely agree it works and we love how you dwell, Ruth!

Ruth mixed this rug with this, this and this pillow - so cute!

We love the mix of high and low in the bedroom - Ruth chose our Hedgerow bedding (on sale now!) with this and this pillow - so cute!

One of our favorite new products at Target - sorry not online yet!

And in the bathroom, Ruth put this shower curtain with this bath mat and these towels. We love!

Ruth lives in Columbus, Ohio - her house is our unofficial Midwest headquarters. Thanks Ruth!

Little Simon lives in Brooklyn, NY with his 2 dads: brilliant writer Rumaan Alam and amazing photographer David Land.  What better parents can an adorable kid ask for?  Apparently Simon loves his dads' Pin Dot sheets...and Simon, we love how you dwell!

House Tour Addict

Monday, March 1, 2010 11:17:43 AM EST

One of my favorite obsessions pastimes is trolling the blogs for sneak-peeks, house-tours, inside-glimpse...whatever it is called when you get to see perfect strangers' homes. A particular favorite resource for this little addiction is Apartment Therapy's House Tours. I admit I especially love to find DwellStudio and DwellStudio for Target (DSfT, as it is affectionately called) products - and this tour of Tyler and Jules' Queens apartment is full of both!

Check out their entire tour HERE.

Adorable dining room, love the dark grey wall.

They set the table with our Chinoiserie placemats.

Jules' adorable bedroom - our DSfT Baroque bedding.

How You Dwell - Kimberly Flower

Thursday, February 18, 2010 4:04:32 PM EST

While trolling Twitter, we happened upon the lovely Kimberly Flower's bedroom - we love her mix of pattern and texture.  Kimberly lives in Pacific Heights (SF) and is a creative product developer.  Kimberly, we are jealous of your peonies and we really love how you dwell...

Kimberly has our Chinoisierie Duvet Set, which her teddy clearly loves.

Christiane Lemieux is a mother of two and a half (the half being a big old labrador Jake - who comes to the office every day with her) and is married to Josh, who is also her business partner. She is the Founder and Creative Director of DwellStudio and DwellStudio for Target. Christiane graduated from the Parson's School of Design with a degree in Fashion design. She also has a degree in Art History from Queen's University in Canada where she hails from. Christiane is inspired by travel (Canadians love to travel because it's so cold up there and they are always looking for some sun), design, and all things creative. Most importantly, she is trying to figure out how to live a life of adventure and bring her kids along too. Kids make everything more fun. The concept of working, being a parent, spouse, all round good person and living a balanced and inspired life is intriguing to Christiane...she has in no way figured any of it out but hopes to try.
