You might remember a few weeks ago when Holley & Gill pointed out this gorgeous bedroom that we all loved. I love how serendipitous the internet can be...I was browsing along some of my go-to sites and ran into the full house over at HGTV Canada. As suspected, the entire place is beautiful – I had to share. Emma, Myles & Henry of The Marion House we love how you dwell!

Emma from The Marion House Book has only had her blog since February, but it's already a big hit, and understandably so. I've been a faithful reader since the start.

ok, nice, but not real. nobody with a kid that age would place plants and branches at arm's reach in front of the fireplace. Sorry, but we'd appreciate how people REALLY Dwell, not just dwell for the photoshoot.

Hi Kelly - Actually those branches are always on the floor by the fireplace. I even have some more in the dining room. (You're right, the plant is usually not there but we needed a hit of green for the photographs.) This photoshoot happened really fast and the morning of the shoot our babysitter didn't show up so they literally shot the house as is. No prop styling was done. I believe if you teach children what they can and cannot touch they will listen.

Amen, Emma! Our nine month old is already learning those things - so far we have hardly had to change a thing. Personally, I admire how natural your home is... you can feel it. What a wonderful place to raise a child.

We bought the chandelier at a store in Toronto called Commute Home. It was a piece they had lying around in the back. I think they probably just found an old chandelier and painted it black.

Christiane Lemieux is the Founder of DwellStudio, the author of Undecorate, mother of two plus a dog and is married to Joshua Young, who is also her business partner. Christiane graduated from the Parson's School of Design with a degree in Fashion design. She also has a degree in Art History. Christiane is inspired by travel and design. Most importantly, she is trying to figure out how to live a life of adventure with her family. Starting this business seemed like the best place to start. Stay tuned as we see how that develops...
