Style Icons of the Week - Roman & Williams

I am frantically trying to finish my apartment. Although I moved in almost three years ago, I never got it finished – two babies back to back will do that! I designed it before I had kids and I would do it so differently now. I am fantasizing about my next remodel and I would LOVE to work with architects Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch (Roman & Williams) – I feel aligned with them stylistically. The designing duo are most famous for their work at the Ace and Standard hotels in New York but to me it’s their residential architecture and interiors that really have me blown away. Check out why....

I never would have guessed a black kitchen could be so amazing.

Light, airy...lovely. I love the lavender upholstery.

Love the chandelier.

My daughter would just be in heaven...where can I get that bed??

That first photo is spot on! Spot. On! LOVE! Lovely choices... but no surprise there. (Loved the new Dwell designs I saw over at Apt. Therapy this morning!)

Gorgeous! I have been drawn to blacks lately as well, but never would have thought about it in the kitchen. I, too, have been lax on the finishing our house front, and cite 2 kids as the reason as well. I am so exhausted by the end of the day, that my version of "getting things done" is reading blogs and bookmarking inspiration. Some day, I will take action. At least I hope!

I love the couch in the first pic. That canopy foresty bed is so adorable. Christiane Lemieux is the Founder of DwellStudio, the author of Undecorate, mother of two plus a dog and is married to Joshua Young, who is also her business partner. Christiane graduated from the Parson's School of Design with a degree in Fashion design. She also has a degree in Art History. Christiane is inspired by travel and design.
