I was so sad to hear about Prague Kolektiv’s liquidation sale.  I remember the first time I visited the storefront in Dumbo years ago...there were so many good things it made me want to time travel so that I could live amongst them in their original habitat.  So today’s Design Hunter is dedicated to Czech Modern pieces that may or may not still be available at half off!

This faceted shape is typical of the Czech modern aesthetic...I am loving the facets and asymmetry. Check it out HERE.

This light fixture is incredibly beautiful.  The strict geometry is so simple and yet it manages to have a soft and inviting quality.  It seems like it could have been designed today instead of 1936! Check it out HERE.

I thought about buying this serving cart for a long time...until I forced myself to admit I have absolutely nowhere to put it!  My favorite thing about it is that the top surface lifts off into a perfect tray. Check it out HERE.

This piece is absolute perfection...from its proportions to the finish to the skeleton key...perfection.
